Reasons why the positive pregnancy test had mouthing”oh my god” in the bathroom mirror:

1) It took me more than four years to conceive my eight-month old, and that was with the help of magic Clomid pills.

2) I’ve only had one period since I conceived Isaiah (8+9=17 months of no period!).

3) I weigh 5 pounds less now than I did before I first conceived. Which is 5 pounds less than I weighed in high school. Which is pretty awesome

4) Oh my god!

Because nothing passes the time like obsessive research…

I am going to start Clomid today.

I have resisted pumping my body with infertility drugs for as long as I can. The truth is, while I’ve been on my au naturale/Eastern medicine kick, three of my friends popped a few pills and now they’re pushing Bugaboos around New York City. Hey, maybe there is something to be said for the wonders of modern medicine.

So here goes nothing. Maybe there’s a chance I can still get pregnant before my 32nd birthday.
